-
A psychiatrist is a medical doctor who specializes in mental health. After completing medical school, psychiatrists undergo several years of residency training in psychiatry, where they learn to diagnose and treat a wide range of emotional and psychiatric conditions. They are uniquely qualified to combine therapy with medication management to support a patient’s overall well-being.

I primarily work with adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, burnout, workplace stress, professional or identity-related transitions, trauma (past or recent), and difficulties with focus, motivation, or self-esteem. Many of my patients are Houston-area professionals navigating high-responsibility roles, interpersonal strain at work, or feeling stuck despite outward success. My practice is inclusive and affirming of all races, genders, sexual orientations, and cultural or religious backgrounds.

Medication management in psychiatric care involves the careful selection, prescribing, and monitoring of psychiatric medications to treat patient conditions. It is a crucial step in improving patient outcomes. I work with you to ensure optimal dosage so that we can minimize side effects and achieve the best outcomes for you. Regular follow-ups and assessments—available in person at my Houston office or through telehealth—are crucial to adjust medications as needed and to address any concerns or changes you feel.

The length of treatment really depends on each person’s needs and goals—it isn’t one-size-fits-all. I aim to be transparent about what to expect, but I also recognize that things can shift over time. Some people benefit from short-term support, while others prefer a longer therapeutic relationship. If your needs change down the line, you're always welcome to reach out again.

Yes. My preference is to see patients in-person at my Houston office, but I understand it can be difficult to find time outside of your work and home schedules for doctor appointments.
